Abstract:

This paper discussed the challenges which are assoc iated with the teaching and learning of English Grammar in Nigeria secondary schools. Grammar is the spinal cord of any language and the user’s mastery of it determines his competence and perform ance in the language. Furthermore, the factors which make teaching and le arning of English Grammar a serious challenge were also di scussed.
